Questions about the Diocesan Services Appeal

Programs, Cathedral focus of special three-year campaign
|
This is the second of five articles in the Catholic Herald that will answer questions about the Diocesan Services Appeal and explain why the 2002-2003 appeal is different than those in prior years.
What is different about this year's Diocesan Services Appeal?
In addition to raising support for the programs of the DSA, this year's appeal also includes the financial needs of preserving and enhancing the Cathedral of Christ the King. Over the next three years, this special initiative will raise support to ensure that our cathedral will be able to meet the worship needs of our diocese for generations to come.
Will support for the traditional DSA programs be affected by this added financial need? No. The renovation and enhancement of the cathedral is an added initiative and will not in any way diminish the support of traditional DSA programs such as youth education, promoting religious vocations, serving the elderly and handicapped, educating our seminarians, lay ministry outreach and protecting the sanctity of life
If you have additional questions about the DSA or the preservation and enhancement of the Cathedral of Christ the King, Tarnowski can be reached at 715-392-2937.
