HUDSON --People from as far as Roberts and Afton joined parishioners and students from St. Patrick's Catholic Church in filling two buses heading for the Minnesota Capitol in St. Paul to protest the 30th anniversary of the Roe vs. Wade abortion decision. Others joined, such as Rev. Tim Sackett of Transport for Christ, which ministers to truckers. Nearly 7,000 people gathered on Wednesday, Jan. 22, in part to celebrate what were called unprecedented pro-life gains in Minnesota during the 2002 general election. They braved cold temperatures to protest from the cathedral to the Capitol building, then later rode back to St. Patrick's School to disembark.
